  Welcome to Planetarium Manager

Planetarium Manager is a free online football management game. You're a football manager in control of your own team, competing in a fantasy league against other human managers or computer-controlled teams (bots).

The game never ends and never stops. It's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can login and check on your team whenever you want, and the game will keep on running even after you log off.

Planetarium Manager is available today in 66 different countries and 30 languages. And we plan to keep on expanding as necessary in the future. If your country or language is still not available, just contact us.

The objective of the game is different from manager to manager. It can be to have one or more players in a national team, to aim for league or cup glory, or simply to achieve stability by raising and training your players properly. You define your own objectives. However, we can say Planetarium Manager is all about starting from the very bottom and achieving planetarium success.

It's your choice… are you ready to embrace this challenge and become the best manager in the Planet?

The Planetarium Manager team.

Portugal grabs its sixth World Cup Title

And what ... exquisite World Cup this was! A lot of surprises, some unique decisions and above all with a lot of rich games, tactical-wise.

First things first though: Portugal was the winner, one more time. This time, Youth, a very well known Portuguese manager was able to win the competition. 4 games, 3 goals scored and 0 conceded. But most importantly he was surely the first manager to win a World Cup without using any of his available MOTS (match of the season) option. Highly unexpected but surely something to be remembered for a long time! Anyway, congratulations to him and to all his community.

On the other side we had Greece. Yes, Greece! Even with the second place nobody was expecting such a surprise. This only proves that with a group of good players, lots of work, spirit and wise decisions everything is possible in PM. Therefore we want to congratulate jkpan and the Greek community for this great achievement (despite the loss in the final match, on penalties).

Now a new World Cup campaign is already underway. We want to wish all the new (and old) managers a lot of success.

Mentorship System Improvements

Over the past weeks we’ve been working in order to improve our mentorship system. We are now introducing some of the changes (actually some of them are already up & running for a couple of days):
- Mentors are now marked as inactive in case they miss activity regarding their apprentices.
- Mentors are warned whenever they get are set with a new apprentice.
- Apprentices from inactive mentors are now automatically re-assigned to new (active) mentors.
- Mentors can only get 10 apprentices max. per language instead of 40.
- Counting all apprentices in all languages, a mentor can only have 30 max.
- From now on mentors can drop their apprentices out (useful for example if they are not active or you don’t speak the same language).

There are now rewards for mentors in case they are able to integrate their apprentices in the game successfully. Here are the rewards we are giving:
>> Apprentice has been active in the game for 3 months: You get 7 days of free PM Fan.
>> Apprentice has been active in the game for 6 months: You get 8 days of free PM Fan.
>> Apprentice has been active in the game for 12 months: You get 9 days of free PM Fan.
>> Apprentice has been promoted to a higher division: You get 5 days of free PM Fan.
>> Apprentice has bought his own PM Fan: You get 5 days of free PM Fan.
(the length of these bonus might be changed in the future if we find it appropriate)

Regarding these rewards:
- Rewards will only be given in cases the apprentices are registered after 1/09/2009 (1st of September, including). Also for the "apprentice active for X months" reward apprentices must have made a login in the last 10 days. They also need to be linked to you as an apprentice for the same period the reward is about. For example, if we’re talking about a 3 months-active award, if the apprentice registration date was 5 months ago and the user is only your apprentice for 2 months you won’t be able to claim the reward until the next month.

- You need to claim rewards in order to get them as they are not assigned automatically. In order to do that you just have to open your apprentice details and click on the "Reward" link.
- You can opt to give your rewards to the apprentice. There’s an option at the Rewards section for that.

- After claiming the reward you will have to wait a couple of days as it will be manually validated by our staff. We have decided to use a manual verification process to prevent abuse. This also means that we can actually reject a reward if we conclude that the mentor did nothing to help the apprentice (we have the necessary tools to analyze the communications made between both users).

With your help, we hope that this new system helps reducing the learning curve new users face themselves with when they start the game. We’ll appreciate all your input regarding this development and we’re also more than welcome to add new features to this system.

Good luck for the new season!

Portugal grabs the U21 World Cup title

With another conclusive win against Serbia, the Portuguese wonder kids snatched the cup again, after a lot of seasons out of the "big stage". It was indeed a flawless & glorious run of 4 matches in this U21 World Cup: 4 wins, 9 scored goals and 0 conceded. I guess it’s fair to say it was a much deserved title for Portugal. Therefore we congratulate their head manager, Mina Planteis, but also his staff and the Portuguese community for this achievement.

A word of merit for Serbia as well. We’ve been following their progress as a PM nation, currently with good results at International Team Competitions. It was only a matter of time until they’d get good results again at a National Team level and there’s the first evidence. Will there be more to come in the near future? We’ll see! But of course congrats as well for darko and his staff as well.

Best of luck for the new U21 season that will start in a couple of weeks.
